If you're doing anything with the web then Javascript is a must. CSS and HTML5 probably also count as programming languages at this point at least in many ways. For back-end, I love python the most out of the higher level languages I know. Php is the easiest, of course, for quickly getting data to the web. IMHO. And it should be humble. Meaning mine should.
