I use **Steemit for two reasons.** One  is to learn and improve on my writing skills and second is to monetize my writing skills.

Unlike most platforms that see nothing wrong with plagiarism, steemit upholds quality and original contents. It encourages me to read more and think critically. I have met so many great writers and I have learnt greatly from them. A second spent on this platform adds value to me because majority of contents here are quality, well written and first hand. Each time I check my steemit timeline, I see something inspiring that challenges me to do more and I must confess, this is bringing out the best in me.

Yes I love studying and writing. Time and energy is required to do the both and it won't be bad if I desire a pay for the efforts made in adding value on Earth.
I have always hoped for a platform to monetize my write ups which steemit came as a savior to actualize this. Some platforms that I hoped to monetize with were so strict and rigid in their rules that any little mistake could get you kicked out and maybe permanently blocked from monetizing which steemit isn't so. Steemit has helped me achieve independence to a reasonable extent. At least money gotten from this platform has helped me to sort out some needs. Also, I hope to save up from here to start a business which I know would become a reality with consistency and patience.
