I wanna say "it depends";  but that would be stupid. There is no gray area here. Nothing in the middle. No safe plays. So I'm gonna say "yes". Euthanasia should be legal. We are not talking about the holiness or the religious part in here. We're talking about the legal part. The legality of the subject matter. Legally speaking, it is not wrong. Everyone has their own rights. We can always say that we wanna protect people from hurting themselves. But what if living is hurting them? Mercy killing can help. Euthanasia can help. So it should be legalized. Period.

No, I dont think so. Every thing has expiry date even human so why finish it before expiry. Instead of thinking about negative, we can hope for positive things and can hope that patient will recover by medical miracle.

No,  , it's shouldn't individuals is given the gift of life by God and God alone,  and only Him can take it away,  death is not an individual or collective action/decision of people  but a order from God, the likes of Stephen Hawking and many more attest  to this,  life is sacred,  and should be taken as such.

It already is legal in the USSA (United Socialist States of America).  I see it everyday in the medical profession.  Don't kid yourself.  If you don't want it to happen to you when you are incapacitated and unable to make your own decisions, you better have an ironclad legal document signed before it is too late.  Otherwise, you better hope your next-of-kin likes you.  That being said, I think it is humane to end needless suffering.

I guess it should be legalize with restrictions. Indeed life is precious and we don't have a right to end it, however it is also not good to see someone suffering when he/she intends to end the suffering. So suggest It will be legalize but with proper medical procedure also it must have consent to all people who has right to vote, and also the patient itself intends to.

Even if euthanasia aims to kill for mercy, still Im not in favor of it because I still believe that since God give everything to us including our precious life, then no one has the power to take our life except the Creator. Only God has the ultimate power to take our life. As we pray to Him, that His will be done.

Euthanasia means mercy killing, but still it is killing and its in the Ten Commandments of God, that we shall not kill. If a person is dying or in pain, euthanasia is not a solution. God has its own plan, has its own reason why He let that person suffer. Maybe God wants that person to realize something.  All we have to do to help that person is to pray. God knows whats best for us.

How much suffering could a person go on for an entire life? How much pain could someone suffer? How much agony could you take on for an entire life? I bet the answer for that is too much to even mention. But life keeps on going. My answer is No. Give a person a reason to fight. And a person in pain is whom the most in need of it. Never end life unless God takes it himself. Always remember that Life is worth fighting for.

No euthanasia should not be legalized because we as human being do not have the right on who should live and who should stay in the world. I am not  a prophet but all the doctors that do euthanasia are under a curse which might not be seen now but it will manifest later . According to 
the bible when Cain killed his brother Abel this is what God told him

I am a doctor and i must say its a very controversial topic, euthanasia i feel should be allowed with a number of rules guiding its application. And definitely adequate documentation is key.

It should be for those who have an illness that cannot be cured and causes them to suffer.

My family and I had personal experience how hard it is to decide on to continue the fight of my Papa against Lung Cancer or to just sign the paper that states that the doctor will no longer revive him whenever he experiences cardiac arrest again. It is only the machines that make my Papa live. At first, my Mama did not sign the paper because she saw that my Papa was still fighting despite all the tubes that are connected to him from his mouth to his nose and to his stomach. But when my Papa had another cardiac arrest, it was my Mama who stopped the doctor from reviving my Papa. We can really see in Papa's eyes that he is in deep pain and he is already tired. But he wants to fight for us his children. But we can no longer take on seeing him like that. So we all decided to set him free. 

So based on my experience, should euthanasia be legal? 

My answer is a big **YES**.
 
Because it hurts so much to see your loved one fight even if no matter what we do and no matter how long we wait, they will never be okay again. We are just lengthening their suffering. There are fights that are worth fighting for. But there are also fights that are worth surrendering for. Especially those fights that no matter what we do, we will never win.

I believe that yes, euthanasia should be legal.

Many people would call it "selfish" choosing to end your own life. I beg to differ... I think the selfish are those who are demanding that the terminally ill patient be forced to live in pain for as long as they can possibly extend it.

I don't believe in euthanasia for those who are depressed and suicidal. Having been depressed and suicidal myself in the past, I likely would not have dared ask for such a thing even if it were an available option. Depression is private and something that one faces alone; the despair would not drive you to a doctor to ask for assisted suicide, in my opinion.

But I do believe that for those who are suffering - their pain, their agony, and their lives dragged out when they could finally be at peace - that there should be a way to end that suffering, at a time and place of their choosing with their loved ones by their side, and not interfering with the choice.

Coming from a country where euthenasia is legal and while working in health care I say it should be 100% legal.

The rules for it should be strickt ofcourse, but having the final word on how your final days should go..that feels like ultimate freedom to me.

Yes I think so only for certain in things eg incurable cancer, certain diseases, dementia, etc. They must take certain tests to make sure they are sane. If they are diagnosed properly they can decide when they want to die . As they can be in horrible pain I know how they feel as im dealing with the effects of tetanus its a complicated story. But the person must make it legal before it happens as for example people could kill them if they are in there in the will for financial gain. I know so many people who go through different diseases and they are over it and are dying slowly and in lots of pain and that would be kind for them to put them out of there misery.

Aren't we all killing ourselves slowly with what we feed our mind and body? We keep doing it our whole lives that when we get sick as a result we only have ourselves to blame. End the suffering.

To those who got sick not by choice, why should we prolong the agony? We can only endure as much as much. Can we still preserve life if that life is sucking away the life around? What if euthanasia is the divine intervention that we need? Can you hinestly say that you want to go through what the sick person is going through?

We can't be too much judgemental for an issue that has many challenging subjectivity related to it. The discussion will have both the side, yes as well as no also the situation of the, environment, laws of the state and most important thing is ethical considerations has to kept on table before making any statement.
  Ethically we can't calculate the value or contribution of a person to maintain his life saving expenditure or the cost benifit ratio. If we equate human life equally than we cannot make this legal. That means the XYZ, has equal right to live like the Staphen Halking did.
  
Practically the ethical issues can't work, we have to decide on the basis of contribution of the terminally ill patient, will the contributions of XYZ be equal to the life saving support he is put on. A hospitalized person needs the aminities equal to 100 poor, illiterate and hungry people. Isn't there ethical considerations human. If  it is about human, isn't than an Indian, African or Afghanistani human?
 Being in medical profession, as a doctor I have seen the real struggle of people in a hospital. If you check the real situation visit an neurological ward in Indian hospital and decide Euthanasia. 
 I think if the patient has a terminally ill condition and is on active machine support, he should be provided the Euthanasia support, that means we must draw away his life saving support. The "other ways"  must not come to effect. The other ways I mean to say right to die, a normal person must not be allowed to make a decision of his life and the normal I mean a physically as well as physiologically. 
 I don't think right to die is a rational comment. I don't think it is moral too. If you are human you have to cope with situations you are put by nature. You need to adopt the situation. 
Some people think of dignity, when you end your life by self satisfaction, where do the dignity lie. 
 I believe too in Euthanasia, only in cases of terminally ill diseases. The question may arise who will define the condition of terminally illness. If one is terminally ill today and we remove his life support tomarrow the cure is found. Isn't that injustice to him or her. For the collective good we may be proven wrong sometimes but these are exceptional situations and they will remain there. 
In my conclusion I am in favor of Euthanasia but only in terminally ill patients and not with right to death..

To me I would say it should and it shouldn't. Euthanasia can be legal but it should be made use of in a serious condition.

Hello my dear @thepassenger, , euthanasia is a difficult process to determine by family members who are responsible for deciding at a certain time in life whether it can be done or not, the person who is in a process more than all vegetative, or a case extreme of illness, personally I consider that it should not be legal, why?
1. The one who decides in such a case is already one personally, indicate to the relatives that if one is in an irreversible state of life, authorize it.
2. there have been cases of people who after being several years in a coma, have reacted,
3. And personally I consider that God is the only one that marks the destination date of your departure from this world.
4. Imagine for the doctors would be easier to be legal for any disease, apply euthanasia to high-risk patients.
5. It is such a complex issue that I consider it a very personal decision.
