Ethereum is not in trouble in my opinion. The entire ethereum network has been jammed up this week because of a perfect storm with the flash crash/large sell that happened on GDAX combined with ongoing ICO's. These are growing pains. No need to freak out. Poloniex has temporarily suspended ETH deposits/withdraws as well until the network stabilizes.  Just hold on to your ETH and you'll be fine. You have to keep in mind that all of this is still in relative infancy.
