The long term value of Ethereum is a tough call. The switch from POW to POS is a big uncertainty like this tweet just revealed.

Steem's blockchain is POS too. The switch in ETH will be welcomed once highly tested and ready. In ETH they what the call the ice age to help encourage miners to switch over to staking. POS was the idea from day #1 of Ethereum so it will not be a problem. Sure it has risk but so did the DAO - it failed badly but issue was fixed. Actually, having ETC formed was great b/c it got all the Bitcoin Max. people to over on Barry Shilberts chain. Hardly and development or people there and now the price of ETC reflects it. If Bitcoin would of split early on they would be having this inflight for 4 years one of the Bitcoin's would have been past $10,000 by now. Its sickening what's happened in Bitcoin.
