quick question: Do we have possibilities to create paper wallets? I only remember that there was some trouble, but this was ages ago. Because creating paperwallets, loading them with 10, 50 or 100 Gridcoin and distributing them would be a really nice reason for people to have a look and maybe install a wallet, and when there is a wallet they maybe think about boincing and then - new Gridcoiners! What do you think?

You mentioned that you're a researcher. What would be good promotion in my opinion if you or one of your colleagues would create a BOINC project that gets whitlisted. If researchers see the benefit of being on the whitelist they will spread the news on their own.

Sounds very promising! We should try to spread the word that this can be really a platform for serious science crunching. In the end a project could really rent computational powers by investing in gridcoin and setting things up and this would most likely be much cheaper than to try to host this power by oneself. This is just my idea though I think iam not the first one with this in mind. (Since I joined gridcoin only a few months back I would really really doubt this).

I like the idea of a video blog.  We have hangouts on mumble (VoIP) twice a month.  The next one coming up is this Saturday.  Join us if you can and you'll get tons of feedback, I'm sure xD. I like the idea of putting together some sort of "card" design that people can print/buy to hand out to people should they need.  "Gridcoin" "Gridcoin.us" and whatever else we want, like a section to add personal contact info.

I also like the idea of making physical space for the blockchain, and there are a few steemit communities like @sndbox that are starting to do just that.  I think if you want to make a physical space, there will be some people who would want to do the same in their town/city.  If that's the case, collaborate!  build it!  A space for the blockchain built with the help of the Gridcoin community but focusing on more than just Gridcoin could help direct attention our way.

Personally, I am considering respectfully spreading the word to the research heavy universities -- students and professors -- around my location.  This will probably be through word of mouth and low key meetings/email with professors.  "Do you know BOINC?  Would it help you in your research if you had a project?  Would you want to build a project if given the resources?"  Standard data gathering and initial introduction.

In terms of students, I hope to encourage and help them to start blockchain clubs etc.

The updated website and whitepaper is going to help a bunch as we look to expand outside of the crypto world.  Since you have experience with both research and crypto, maybe you'd like to help put together the whitepaper or perhaps you can just read sections of it as it gets put together to let us know if we're writing in a way the target audience will enjoy.  

There is also a "BOINC projects" section of the whitepaper.  If you have a solid knowledgebase on BOINC projects and how to build them and what they do, you could help a lot with writing, organizing, or editing that section of the WP.
