Oh my goodness, I am happy that Willie made it back home. God bless! Bu the his brother on the other hand is in tough training. I see now what they are trying to do and I understand that they had to be really though to survive those days. 
Nevertheless, kidnapping innocent kids is not the solution. 

By the way, if they were so though, why they got addicted to alcohol? I mean Indians in general. And don;'t get me wrong Janotn, I used to be a big fan of Indians, but now I am  not so sure anymore.

Howdy again Miss Lena! I know what you mean about the Indians but there were many tribes who 
were peaceful farmers like the Caddo, Pueblo, Navajo, Zuni, Hopi, and dozens of others. 

So probably you just have  a problem with the warrior tribes like Camanche and Apache?
I think there were more peace loving tribes than war tribes.

The only stories I've read about kidnapping were by the warrior tribes though, I don't know if the
peaceful tribes kidnapped white people. One reason I chose this story is because it has alot
of exciting things in it because of the nature of the Apache.

Being captured to be made into a farmer might be a pretty boring story. I would like either type
of story so I could get a glimpse into a culture which most white men have never seen but
most people like action. lol.

Oh yes you are right Janton, I actually read a lot about Hopi. They made  lots of prophesies, but you probably know that.  I should had been more clear about my choice of dislike. I did like Apache, but only based on those German movies I used to like to watch as a child.  And of course, I am not criticising your choice of topic; it is part of our history and you are doing great job writing about it.

howdy again Miss Lena! sorry for the late reply, I actually took most of the evening off.

Oh, those German movies with that Chief? I can't remember his name. Well the problem with Indian tribes is there were so many different ones that believed and acted differently from the others but generally speaking the Apache were a warrior tribe. It was good if they were your friends but bad news if they were your enemies.

I don't think I knew you when I did my big series on the great Caddo Nation that lived in Texas. Tremendous farmers, pottery craftsmen and tool and weapon makers. They were amazing and all the other tribes all over the United States traded for their products because the quality was so good. 

They were gentle and peace loving and wanted to work with the government who still forced them off the land that they'd been on for a thousand years and put them on scrubby,  poor land in Oklahoma that was so bad they couldn't even farm it. 
It was one of the larger tribes too..250,000 so they made up a good percentage of the Indians.
