A magical greeting to all the Hive Open Mic community, I am very happy to participate for another week, to share my talent with you, to learn more and to interact and nourish myself with a lot of knowledge and tips for my growth as an artist.

Today I come to perform a song from a Spanish group called MEGARA and the song is called "Hocus Pocus", I am excited because I will share with you a song that is important and full of magic. 

"This is a song where the artist Kenzy was inspired by the movie Hocus Pocus, a song full of magic, with a great message based on her life, where she talks about bullying and how through music and magic she wants to escape. 

I chose this song because I feel very identified, when I was a teenager I lived bullying, I was judged for being a rocker and they called me a witch, because many of us have lived in a society where being ourselves and choosing what we like, means not fitting in and not meeting the expectations of others and many dream of surviving in a world of villains as the song says, villains who only live by appearances. 

Being and thinking different, being yourself and not following the fashions and the same beliefs of others, does not make you less human, does not make you a bad person, we are all unique. 

True beauty is to shine your own light and be yourself UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT."

Un mágico saludo para toda la comunidad de Hive Open Mic estoy muy feliz de participar otra semana más, para compartirles mi talento, así aprender más e interactuar y nutrirme de muchos conocimientos y consejos para mi crecimiento como artista.

Hoy vengo a interpretar una canción de un grupo español llamado MEGARA y la canción se llama "Hocus Pocus", estoy emocionada porque les compartiré un tema que es importante y lleno de magia. 

"Está es una canción donde la artista Kenzy se inspiró en la pelicula Hocus Pocus, un tema lleno de magia, con un gran mensaje basado en su vida, donde habla del bullying y como a través de la música y la magia desea escapar. 

Elegí esta canción porque me siento muy identificada, cuando yo era adolescente viví el bullying, fui juzgada por ser rockera y me decían bruja, porque a muchos nos ha pasado que vivimos en una sociedad donde ser nosotros mismos y elegir lo que nos gusta, significa no encajar y no cumplir con las expectativas de los demás y muchos soñamos con sobrevivir en un mundo de villanos como dice la canción, villanos que solo viven de apariencias. 

Ser y pensar diferente, ser tu mismo y no seguir las modas y las mismas creencias de los demás, no te hace menos humano, no te hace mala persona, todos somos únicos. 

La verdadera belleza es brillar con tu propia luz y ser tu mismo ÚNICO E IRREPETIBLE."

Tu historia, aunque se trata de algo negativo como el bullyng...me gusta y la admiro, aunque suene controversial. Pero mas o menos yo también viví algo parecido, me decían cosas como que era satánico o cosas tontas como "Córtate ese pelo"...y aunque en aquel momento sí me resultaba molesto, hoy en día me encanta que haya sido así, porque la gente está acostumbrada a criticar y temer lo que no comprende... y es muy genial ser diferente... y hoy en día me encantan esas *"Brujas"* jaja.  Excelente entrada que has hecho con este video, quedó brutal la edición...Tienes un fuego dentro de tí que sabes expresar muy bién. Tienes mucho arte para dar, sigue con el excelente trabajo. Querida Gema, te cuento algo... yo fui víctima de Bullying en el colegio, todavía no conocía el rock; habían días duros pero los superaba y no sé como hacía pero lograba hacer que los que me maltrataban luego estuvieran de mi lado; con la música me ha pasado que a muchos les asusta que sea Psicólogo y me guste el rock y el metal jajajajaja, pero quienes me conocen saben que ambas cosas a pesar que me definen las ejecuto en su momento y soy profesional en ello!!!

Pero obviamente no podía estar exento de críticas con respecto a la música, empezando por mi familia, el rechazo fue bestial en algunos momentos, fue luego de varios años y cuando me vieron en tarima por primera vez que entendieron que amaba esto... hoy en día me apoyan!!!

A mi me decían cosas por ello, muchas personas, sin embargo, hice caso omiso a toooodo eso, sé que muchos si la pasan mal con este estigma de satanismo incluso que nos tienen, no niego que hayan personas con creencias así, pero llevar esa carga por los demás no es justo porque fíjate yo soy creyente en Dios, pero te escucho lo más cabilla que existe, sé que tu escuchas también metal pesado, pero eso no te hace ni bruja ni satánica... son etiquetas tontas que pone la gente, pero la actitud en este caso marca la diferencia... igualmente NADIE merece ser víctima de acoso, intimidación o agresión por ser diferente, en tu caso, eres demasiado GENIAL y me encanta cuando haces trabajos de este tipo, porque te luces a tu estilo 🌹😍💖!!

El bullying siempre debe ser condenado, yo pienso, que quienes sobrevivimos a ello, logramos afianzar una personalidad más estable y sólida que quien hace bullying; esas personas si que viven el caos en sus vidas a medida que crecen y no logran ser auténticos, viven en base a las "normas" del status quo...

Tu performance, lo amé, siempre te digo con mucho respeto y admiración que me encanta como te ves y logras ese ambiente dark tan hermoso, con unos movimientos que hacen todo más místico y directo, te felicito por ello 🔥🔥🔥... y en cuanto al canto, vas demasiado bien Gema, de pana que estás brillando cada vez más, lo hiciste excelente 💎!!!!

También me alegra saber más de ti, porque no sabía que eras psicólogo, y digo waaaoo otra vez porque es un campo que todos necesitamos saber, y aún más cuando sale el tema del bullying que algunas personas hemos vivido, también hemos sido rechazos por la sociedad y muchas otras cosas más, pero a muchos estás experiencias nos han fortalecido aún más como personas. Por eso ahora tengo una frase que me la repito casi todos los días: 

"O te haces más fuerte, o te lastiman... Tu decides"...

Y estoy muy segura que tú eres muy fuerte, y cuando las personas ven nuestra firmeza terminan aceptando quienes somos, pero siempre brillando sin importar las críticas destructivas o el rechazo.
