But today I took my precautions, defrosted the meat early and prepared the menu. My wife loves pasta, I had some pork, cream and two sausages left over from yesterday, I thought of preparing pasta with pork and a white sauce, but I was missing an ingredient that would give it the elegant and provocative touch I had in mind and it occurred to me that I was missing mushrooms. I went down to the fruit store and got a tray of 200 grams of filleted mushrooms for the incredible price of 1,600 pesos, which is the equivalent of 0.50 cents on the dollar. I thought I would spend about 4 dollars or more, I don't know, I am still trying to adapt to the prices in this country. I tell you that three months ago I moved to the city of Bogota, Colombia. Anyway, I went home with my tray of mushrooms still thinking that something was wrong with the price, maybe it was about to expire, but no, I was wrong, its expiration date was far away. I thought about going back to the store to take all the remaining trays, but I'd better leave it for another day and prepare lunch, lest the time surprise me again.</div>

Pero hoy tomé mis previsiones, descongelé temprano la carne y preparé el menú. A mí esposa le encanta la pasta, tenía un poco de cerdo, crema de leche y dos chorizos que me sobraron de ayer, pensé en preparar pasta con cerdo y una salsa blanca, pero me faltaba un ingrediente que le diera el toque elegante y provocativo que tenía en mente y se me ocurrió que faltaban champiñones. Bajé a la frutería y conseguí una bandeja de 200 gramos de champiñones fileteados por el increíble precio de 1.600 pesos, que es el equivalente a 0,50 céntimos de dólar. Yo pensé que gastaría como 4 dólares o más, no lo sé, aún estoy tratando de adaptarme a los precios de este país. Les comento que hace tres meses que me mudé a la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia. En fin, me fui a casa con mi bandeja de champiñones aun pensando que algo pasa con el precio, quizás estaba por vencer, pero no, me equivoqué, su fecha de caducidad estaba lejos. Pensé en regresar a la tienda para llevarme todas las bandejas que quedaban, pero mejor lo dejo para otro día y preparo el almuerzo, no sea que me sorprenda la hora nuevamente.

Procedure:

Place the pork in pieces to cook in salted water. Once cooked, cut into strips and place back on the fire. Add a teaspoon of turmeric and remove in a bowl.</div>

Colocar el cerdo en trozos a cocinar en agua con sal. Una vez cocido cortar en tiras y colocar nuevamente al fuego. Agregar una cucharadita de cúrcuma y retirar en un bol.</div>

Agregar la crema de leche, el cerdo picado y cocido, pimienta, el cilantro picado y los tomates en cuartos. Retirar del fuego e incorporar la pasta ya cocida y revolver. Servir y agregar más cilantro picado. </div>
