I remember the one and only episode of PeeWee's Playhouse I watched. The girl character comes into the room, and PeeWee and his friend see that she has a skirt on so he and his male friend yell out "shoe mirrors!" Then they put mirrors on the tops of their shoes and stand next to her to look up her skirt. She says, in her little girl voice, "I'm not wearing panties today." At which point PeeWee and his male friend look dejected and lose interest in trying to look up her skirt. I remember thinking, "who the heck is the target audience for this show?"
