#### Internet - AIRdrop, Comments, Tag a friend, etc.
If you are involved with Crypto, you know where I am going with this.  Everyone is giving out free coins, NFT, and more free stuff everywhere you look.  But can you trust those FREE giveaways?

Some of the free giveaways are just useless items.  They have no value.  There is no market for that item/coin.

The worst part is those using these giveaways as a LEAD GENERATION or a SALE FUNNEL to a SCAM!  You should not be surprised by this. Once your name is listed as someone willing to join anything new, they will try to get you another time. They are copying the playbook of those that fall victim to PC needs a particular update (Fake Blue Screen Error) and other spams.

This is why I never join any new offerings, try to get free airdrops of something that I'm not already part of, or click on any links. I move everything offline to a hardware wallet.  I don't use any exchanges to trade Crypto (or pairs). I'm not interested in following the next Shibu or PePe coin. 

#### Splinterlands NFT giveaways!!
If you have been around a few years, most things fail within a few years.  Rugpulls and other stuff don't last long.  This is why I like #Splinterlands the game!!  The game has been around since 2018 and many players have been playing for 3+ years now!!

The team has sponsor a giveaway for those players that are also following their twitch channel #SplinterlandsTV!!  The team has given away hundreds of prizes in June, with over 200 different users winning.  All this is on the blockchain, and you can see who won which item (Cards).

#### Feb, March, April, May, June-July 2023
Splinterlands has been running these huge giveaways since Feb 2023!  The team has given away thousands of prizes, with some big jackpots prizes!! While the chances are winning might be 1% or 2%, there is a good chance of you winning other prizes.  The top winners in a given month generally win between 20-40 cards in a month.  So far, each month has been different top winners.

The top prize for this summer is a Goil Foil Kitty (very valuable asset) is still available as on June 29.  There are many other prizes worth between $50-200 that are still available for others to win.

We learn something different each month about what people do with their winnings.

MarcioSpy sold his big jackpot card in February to help offset the cost of his mother's hospital bill.

Others have taken their giveaway winnings and used them to fund a business venture in real life (IRL).

The most common is to sell the big prize card so that it can be used to purchase missing cards (upgrading or getting a new expensive card) that the deck needs.  Each asset owner will have to make these types of choices.

But the beauty is Splinterlands NFT can be won each month.

These NFTs have real value; many are worth $10-$20 each.  A few of them are worth more, and many of them are worth less.  The point here is real $$$ being handed out to the player base.  Therefore, if you have a Twitch account and a Splinterland account, you might want to join the giveaway!!
