Hello, Splinterlands warriors! How are you all doing amidst the exciting crypto price surges? I hope your investments are soaring! Today, I want to share an experience that might make you think twice about watching a battle unfold. Is it going to be epic or... boring?  

Yup, we’re diving into battles that end due to *fatigue*! That moment when the game’s mechanics punish all monsters equally, draining their health every round until only one is left standing. But before we get into it, grab your snacks and settle in.

#### Battle Setup  

This clash took place under the *rulesets* **Need for Speed** and **Fog of War**, making it a challenging match. With a *mana cap* of 41 points, I could choose between Water, Earth, Life, and Death elements.

From the get-go, I knew this would require careful planning. The *rulesets* favored high-speed monsters but eliminated sneak and snipe attacks. My strategy? Focus on frontal assaults while ensuring backline support for survivability.

#### The Team and Strategy  

For my lineup, I placed **IZZIAR** as the main anchor and protector, leveraging its *taunt* ability. In the middle, **DJINN RENOVA** took charge of healing and boosting the team. At the front, **HALFLING REFUGEE** stood strong as the primary tank, with its considerable health ready to absorb attacks.

My secret weapon was **OLIVIA OF THE BROOK**, equipped with the *Mimic* ability. I hoped this skill would turn the tide in my favor by copying key enemy abilities.  



On the opposing side, they also fielded **IZZIAR**, paired with two healers, **SCAVO HIRELING**, and a Summoner providing *Void Armor*. From the start, I could tell this would be a drawn-out battle.

#### The Battle Unfolds  

Round one was intense. Blow after blow was exchanged, and **HALFLING REFUGEE** nearly fell. Thankfully, **DJINN RENOVA’s** healing kept IZZIAR in the fight.

The dynamics shifted as **OLIVIA OF THE BROOK** began mimicking the opponent’s healing ability, making my team even harder to break through.

On the enemy’s side, the same resilience emerged. With **IZZIAR**, dual healers, and **SCAVO HIRELING**, their defenses were practically impenetrable. Attack after attack was nullified.  

This stalemate led to the rare option: **Skip to Fatigue**. It was clear the battle wouldn’t be decided by clever strategies but by endurance and positioning.

#### The Climax  

As *fatigue* set in, monsters began to fall one by one. Each round chipped away at their health. In a nerve-wracking finale, my **IZZIAR** emerged as the last monster standing, securing the victory.

However, the win felt hollow—not due to superior strategy or execution, but luck and lineup arrangement.

#### Lessons Learned  

1. **IZZIAR is a powerhouse in prolonged battles.** Its *taunt* ability ensures it can anchor the team even under the strain of *fatigue*.  
2. **OLIVIA OF THE BROOK is a wildcard.** Its *Mimic* ability can create unique advantages, though in this match, it ironically prolonged the stalemate.  
3. **Fatigue isn’t just luck.** Proper monster placement, a strong healing core, and sustainable defense are key to surviving until the bitter end.  

If you find yourself in a similar battle, here’s my advice: consider **Skip Battle** or buckle up for a long match. It might be anticlimactic, but it’s also a great lesson in patience and survival strategy in Splinterlands.
