In [crypto](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency) world or any financial [investment](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-investment) the trust is a major factor. In [Hive](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-hive) [ecosystem](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-ecosystem-digital) the concept of [power up](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-power-up-hive) is very much aware to ALL of us. O every 1st of month we also celebrate the Power Up day, which is basically shows our trust on the platform. When we power up or stake some [token](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-token) the the liquid token get locked for some PRE defined time. user will not be able to use those staked token in [market](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-market) he / she has to wait for certain time to unlock them. The second layer token also works in same way. The major benefit form the [staking](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-staking) hive or token is that user get the [curation rewards](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-curation-reward-hive). Mote the hive or token staked means more the [curation](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-curation-content) rewards to the user. if you do not know then I like to mentioned that the when some one upvote any content then the author get rewards and the reward amount is based on the upvote value which is directly linked to the staked hive in the account.  In today [bear market](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-bear-market) its not good if anyone want to [sell](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-sell) the crypto and the unstacked token in the [wallet](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-wallet) do not earn me anything. Earnign starts only once the they get staked. In my opinion in such bear market it good to stake the token and earn the curation rewards. For above its clearly understood that its more beneficial to stake the token and reinvest the token earn by increasing the staking. Normally we do the power up or staking manually. The main disadvantage of manual option is that many time we forget to stake the token and they sitting idle in the wallet, are not earing anything. The other way is to make the process automatic, which means the liquid token available in the wallet get power up or staked daily. This is good for the people  has long term vision and they do not want to trade the token in market.

 As per my knowledge the one way is to change the setting of the payout option of publication. Normally the rewards of hive and other token get divided in to staked and unstacked portion and when someone changes the payout option to the 100% powerup then all rewards earned automatically get in staked condition. The main drawback of tis option is that it will staked all token earned form the publication. We on Hive earned different second layer token also form the  posts we publish on Hive [blockchain](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/blockchain) based on the token tags we used in the post. 
So is their any way to which give the freedom to user of choose the token they want to get staked automatically?
The answer is YES.
The option is available in the [Keychain](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-keychain-hive) [dApp](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-decentralized-applications-dapps). keychain is a mobile app and browser extension developed by @stoodkev .

> Hive Keychain is an extension for accessing Hive-enabled distributed applications, or "dApps" in your  Chromium or Firefox browser!

The option is available on web extension as well as on mobile app. The option give freedom in the hands of user to choose the token they want to powerup automatically, this is good time saving option for the many users including me as my strategy is to HDOL and reinvest the token earned back into the [ecosystem](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-ecosystem)  by doing the power up.

Lets see the step by step tutorial on web extension. 
Once you open the keychain extension click on the three horizontal lines on the left top side to open the Menu.

Under the menu click on the second option - User Operations

Under user operations click on the Automated tasks.

This will open the Automated task ,menu and you will see two option for settings. The first is for the Hive an second is for Hive-engine tokens.

When you clicked on the "Hive" and expand the tab you will be able to see the different options.  - Claim Rewards, Claim Accounts & Claim Savings Interest. The claiming Rewards and Claiming Saving Interest are very useful in my opinion. If we do not claimed the saving interest on time that also means we are loosing the interest which is suppose to pay once claimed and get invested into saving.

When you click on the Hive Engine you will see the Auto Staking. Once you click on the check button you will be able to see the other options.

Once you check the Auto Staking you will be able to see the tokens option.

Click on add a token to auto-staking to search the token you want to auto staking.

I select he POB token.

After adding the token if you move the cursor over the token selected you will be able to see the delete option (in case you select the wrong token or want to exclude the token form auto staking)
