 <hr> Discouragement is simple; all you need to do is fail once, twice, three times, or even a little more. Only a few disappointments, betrayals, rejections, and dejections are required to accept the defeat mindset. You can even predict your next failure based on a few signs, which is all it takes for a person to completely give up, but this is not the "hustling man." ## The Hustling Man A hustling man is someone who works tirelessly to better his own and his family's lives. He puts in the work when others are sleeping, taking risks, overtaking difficult ventures and putting in blood and sweat. The hustling man exemplifies loyalty. He understands his responsibilities, and he is never satisfied with mediocrity; despite the various limitations of life, he has continued to work hard, putting in the hours and effort, and never giving up. ## Sacrificial Awareness The typical hustling man is the person who realizes they cannot raise kids in a war-torn area, and they risk everything to migrate their kids to a better country even at the expense of their (own) lives. They're the people who are two steps ahead, they realize they that one job cannot sustain them, so they go ahead to take on two jobs so their wives or husband can get more degree and in turn, help the family. The hustling man is financially conscious, understands the meaning of repercussions and consequences, and strives to make better decisions whenever possible. They are the people who spend 50% and save the other 50%; they understand the concept of "rainy days" and work hard to plan for them. The hustling man is not the type to engage in unprotected sex when they are aware of the consequences, particularly when faced with unexpected responsibilities. They're not the type to chronically purse or seek pleasures, they're weary of the byproducts of excessive fun, and where it might potentially lead them and why they prepare for it. > These guys are the ones who see things that others do not. ##### Foresight in a blind spot They have good foresight and are always suspicious when people are relaxed, fearful when people are partying, and opportunistic when others are scared. It is easy to believe that the hustling man is ideal: able-bodied, strong, agile, active, and strong. Unfortunately, they are not. In fact, they are not necessarily men; they could be women who have comfortably assumed the role of men and made difficult decisions in the past. They are wayfinders, trailblazers, alphas, and people who have stood the test of time, surviving difficult eras and changes and adapting to life's ever-changing trends. ##### Generation Wealth Families Have the hustling man If you look closely at a family with generational wealth, you will notice a hustling man who has made significant sacrifices to ensure that their generation is never poor again. They may be dead or alive, but their actions are often immortalized and can be seen in the lives of future generations. People who do not have a typical hustling man in their families or lives are somehow handicapped in life. We can not all be "hustling men," because it takes a special kind of ingenuity to "be" these people. When we can not be one, we desperately need these people. They could be a benefactor, a friend, or someone who significantly changes the course of a person's or group's life for the better. In fact, they may not even need to be wealthy; they may simply be a genius among many; a person who can significantly solve problems and come up with incredible solutions to complex problems. ##### Unfortunately the world isn't filled with a lot of hustling men. This is why pre-wise people can be foolish for the rest of their lives, never realizing their inner "Hercules." Sometimes people are like lamps in need of light, and there are those who are "light" enough to simply light up the lives of others without depleting their own. As I previously stated, we cannot all be geniuses or heroes, and as a result, we require individuals who can make us stand out, advocate for us, and even significantly improve our lives. Many people do not have the typical hustling man around them, which is unfortunate because all of their gifts, talents, potentials, and capabilities will never be realized; they will die within themselves. Can a regular person be a hustling man? > Yes. We are far more capable, and life's experiences can sometimes bring out the best in us. For example, losing a close friend because we could not afford their surgery may make us paranoid about never wanting to die poor. The fear of the unexpected can serve as motivation. We need more hustling men, but I agree that they are quite rare. I think that people are just naturally lazy. I slack off as well so I can't blame anyone. I still think that the hustlers tend to be the ones ahead in life though, because they put in that work.

I found this information at the right time and almost when I felt like the whole world is let loose on me. I took some decision lately just to see that I make a different in the house because I notice from first down to the last born we all are following the same principles and the result is always the same. I thought when I get a job here in Abuja and Join it with my side hustle (Hive) I might be able to take good care of the family but reverse is the case the work I am doing makes me use my earnings from hive to pay for my T-fare and I can't support my mum's medical bill and even send money for food. π I sit and rethink oo To be frank, to be that hustling man it takes one to be determined to change the narrative and also to work alone. I grew up from a family that we only believe in salary work and it takes the grace of God for me to change my mentality to a real hustling dude and I am still looking for better opportunities as I remain focused on hive because I have resigned my work and everyone seems to be against my decision but I know with time it will pay off. Just by reading this has geared my courage and confidence to remain focused and not to listen to negative energy.

It's hard to be a hustling man, that's because we don't have a lot of people like that in real life. Every well-thought out decision comes with a reward or potential consequence. As for your decision to give up your 9 to 5 it means you'll have to find other opportunities to supplement what you're building with Hive, because Hive wouldn't cut it alone. The hustling man is a researching man, and this means you have to seek for more knowledge to add to the ones you have. The decision to take a different path is difficult. 9 to 5 isn't bad, but if it isn't your own business then you might not make that much money, that's how it is, especially in the Nigerian setting .

I had a group of people I was close with as a teenager, I didn't have a direction or a path, but these people were like a lamp and I shine very bright just by the impartation they had in my life.. I think that without these people I might have struggle a lot, so yes, we can't all be the hustling man, but we need one.

I was a much stronger man 8 to 10 years ago as well, I remembered working 7 to 7 and then coming back home to still continue my other hustling. I did it for over 7 years, constantly, looking for ways to make it.
