Nothing wrong with layered chains. At some point Justin Sun may get tired of Steem and forget to pay his witnessing bill. I give it about 8-9 months in fact before he drops Steem witnesses completely and moves on to mess up other really cool platforms. I'm in to hive, i'll support hive, hive is compatible with Steem anyway, it's great to have Multi-chain security . Our community enjoys that feature already.
