I am so glad that you like it and that it looks like an introductory guide and yes that's exactly what it is 

I was hoping that I could make it simple and explainable to a new user as well as older users 

Also, I hope that, probably when Google crawls this post, someone reading it out there will be able to find useful information to help them understand why he or she has to be a part of this community and a part of Hive as a whole
