Our friend Clint has offered me a trial lesson and I may well take him up on it. I could then play on some real drums. I will have to see how it goes with my dodgy hand. It may be I can find ways to work with it as I have with guitar.

Yeah that'd be a good idea. Playing real drums is much kinder on your hands actually. I only have room for an electronic kit but would far rather play a real one any day.

My next step would be a full electronic kit. I hear the ones with mesh heads are more like real drums. If the new band works out I will look into getting a small acoustic kit. Earplugs may be required :)
