I am not a fan of robots but when it comes to making work less strenuous for me, I don't mind having a robot. Life is full of work, from Mondays to Sundays we are on the field looking for what to put on the table, we feel like quitting because of the stress attached but then if we do quit what are we going to eat?

I won't lie, I have not yet been opportune to see a working robot physically but in movies, I think I have seen a lot of them in shops and at home doing some task and trust me they are doing very well.

Although I know they have their own downsides, too, and one which I despise so much is the lack of emotions. I think that's where that invention failed for me. If only robots could feel what we feel and understand what we are going through, they are going to be the best invention in the history of mankind.

For someone like me, if that happens, I am not sure I am going to have more than two human friends, machines will take over my heart, lol. Just kidding though.

If I could create a robot to perform a particular task, it would be a first aid robot for accident victims. The house we used to live in before I relocated was close to the main road, I have seen all manners of accidents. I have seen people struggling to survive, and I have seen life going out of people all in the name of let's wait for road safety, and let's take them to the hospital.

When an accident occurs, instead of people looking for means to help the victims stay alive by trying to help them stop bleeding, stitch wounds, and so on, most times we look for means to take them to the hospitals and neglect the blood flowing out. Though it's not our fault a lot of us don't have knowledge of that.

As such, before the victims reach the hospital, they end up giving up the ghost on the way. Many people who are not supposed to die ended up dying that way. Even road safety personnel don't bother about checking accident victims before rushing them to the hospital which is most times very far from the accident scene.

So, I am thinking if a robot that can administer such little treatment is created, it can save a lot of lives. Maybe the robot will be part of the federal road safety corps, as they come to convey the victims to the hospital, the robot will check them, stitch those that need to be stitched, give necessary injections, and control bleeding before conveying the patient to the hospital.

Some people are scared of blood I understand, since robot doesn't have emotions it's going to be an advantage. It wouldn't consider any kind of injury but run a quick scan and give the patient the appropriate first aid treatment.

I would like the robot to look like a human, it will have two hands and two legs like man and also the face of man. It will be equipped with every medical knowledge and equipments to carry out it's assignment.

Hmmm... I'll disagree with you on that emotion issue ooo.
You only consider the emotions when it's in favor with humans, what about when you flip the coin? If robots can feel anger and can hold grudges, what's to stop it from enacting revenge? If it can fall in love, what's to stop it from attacking others out of jealousy? I think one of the things that makes robots better is their inability to feel emotions, at least you can trust them to be infallible. Because the moment they lose that, they're no better than humans and they can be tricked and fooled as well.
So, no emotions sir.
