Gosh, Hollywood and the internet algorithms killed the avant garde. I do miss art house films that went to the edge of things - cinema as art. I think anyone doing edgy cinema now has to come to terms with the fact it won't make money or maybe not even be seen, and make it because it's important to them artistically. 

The other day I watched The Zone Of Interest, which I didn't think I wanted to watch, given the subject matter. As horrifying as it was, I loved *how* the story was told. There's some wonderful scenes that cleverly tell of the brutality without mentioning it at all. 

As for sexy movies, I have probably grown out of them. The one I really loved at your age - gah, sorry - was The Pillow Book, a Peter Greenway film.  I had quite the fetish for being painted for a long time, which was fulfilled, and is another story to be told another time and perhaps not here.
