A sensible approach and while these features are desperately needed and i'm excited about I think that less speed and better expectation management is something more blockchain projects need. While I'd love to have SMTs and Openseed for the halving hype I think even if we miss that timing for the influx of users we surely will get having a product that can scale effectively is more important. 

Since this will unlock a lot of the potential STEEM has theirs still building in other places and this will just open up the funnel for acquisition. The more developer tools we have the more talent will be attracted and the network effect grows not only in users but in products and compounds over time.
