Yeah man I can imagine! I haven't formally lost my family members but I'm ostracized from them for various reasons. One day I'll lose them though and I will see what happens when it comes to how it feels but I agree that in the short term it sets you adrift quite a bit. Hopefully you are able to find an anchor or at least a directional paddle!
