I know that there are plans about having cryptocurrencies backed with gold, silver, and commodities like oil ... but the idea of having a Hive app for access to gold is intriguing!

Fun fact: Vladimir Putin expressed his interest in a cryptocurrency backed by oil around 2020. You already know what is happening now! Correlation is not causation, BUT ... Saddam Hussein expressed a desire for the Arab nations to switch to the Euro for buying and selling oil in 1998. You already know what happened by 2002!

Hive actually has a better chance than some governments -- too small to be perceived as a threat!
