I've played in the bronze leagues long enough to know the significance of *mana* when it comes to game play and game rules. This is because the elements are well suited to a particular strategy or gameplay. I don't know if it's because of bots in the system, but it's becoming rather easy to guess the move of your opponents simply by looking at the **mana** and checking the choices you have when a game rule rules out your choices. With some particular game rules, some elements are taken away, leaving youwith some set of elements to choose from. 


Sometimes it's difficult to interpret a game rule on the field of play. When I was exposed to **game rules** it was always difficult to not have my favorite elements to play with sometimes and this was probably how I forcefully learned to use other elements (except **life** which I'm probably still bad at using) For example a game rule might say, **"magic attack hits armor firstly"**, but the **mana** of the game is **14**. In this instance you might get only one death summoner, get life, then Earth and fire is taken away.

#### The Economics Of Scarcity

This is where the economics of scarcity come in. It is just like having little money to spend in an inflated market where the Money you have can only buy things that aren't enough for consumption. The fact that you're limited doesn't mean you have to quit, in fact, clicking the **"BATTLE"** there's no way to surrender immediately you see the game mana given to you, when you do, this is automatic disqualification, it means you lose the battle without even making attempts at competing.


 But the state of limitedness **(mana, elements)**, presented to a person when playing feels the inevitable nature of the economy sometimes where you have come up with creative and unique ways to win despite, when your options originally sets you out to fail. However, you're lacking in means (money) to make choices. Normally, having enough money takes away the danger of inflated prices on the goods and services, however having less **mana** sometimes feels like being in a situation of scarcity when you've been formerly exposed to being spoiled with resources.

#### The Essence Of Competition

The reason why it's so is to create an essence of competition. For example, if the game mana is always unlimited, people who own enough resources can express the depth of their deck, making the game less competitive and one-sided. For someone without enough resources, you can actually best people with enough resources especially when the system restrictions them with **mana** and **game rules**.



 These two are the top restrictions which often decide the outcome of the game especially if a player cannot translate the mana of a game well. Nevertheless, the death element is very good at low mana games iresspective of the game rules. For example, the **Thaddeus Brood** and **Drake Of Arnak** are the most used Summoners when it comes to low mana games. Low mana games automatically decides the use of elements even before the game rules comes into consideration. The game rules are sometimes not significant.

#### Elements & Sophistication

For example if you have **"Melee Monsters can attack from anywhere"** as the game rule in a **14-mana'd** game, the former is insignificant while the latter is more significant. Irrespective of the deck of most players in the bronze leagues and silver III, the death element always comes in handy in low mana games and this is because death has some great monsters with very low Mana. For example, in a 14-mana'd game, using death cards increasing your likelihood of winning, because it provides you with more value for very little. 

In high mana game actually, earth is simply the richest, especially when you don't have monsters of your own. When I talk high mana games, I mean **99** which creates a sense of unlimitedness, it's like having enough money to express your craziest fantasies. Earth was my choice in rare **99** mana games, but after I discovered the winning 99 mana team, I've played over twenty **99** mana games winning everything and losing none. The secret is using, neutral Monsters and Legendary monsters. #### Management & Versatility

Over forty 99 mana games played in two weeks, and I've never lost any. In reality, my win ratio in low mana games is probably 55% , but for games with reasonable mana, from 20 to 29, the win ratio increases. This is specifically to say that I'm much more dangerously creative when my options aren't limited. In real-time this might not be the case. For example, I know people who cannot work with small budgets, while there are people who can relatively work with small budgets even more than having a robust budget.

 These two set of people are great in their craft of money management without being versatile at handling *scarcity or plenty*. In real-time, I can handle the both situation quite well and this is because I have had the opportunity to work in both situation. Some people only limits themselves, to one situation, meanwhile in life we need to be versatile in handing "plenty" and "scarcity". This is quite different when it comes to splinterlands, and I'll continue in the second part of this post.
