One major need that we've seen rise over the years is the decentralization of trading crypto assets. The blow-up of FTX was a major wake up call to the industry. Decentralized Exchanges (DEXes) have emerged and are slowly eating market share away from Centralized Exchanges (CEXes). 

99.99% of HIVE's Trading volume occurs on centralized exchanges. One of INLEO's core goals in 2025 is to decentralize some of that trading volume **and bring it back on chain** rather than have it on centralized order books. 

INLEO has experimented with myriad ways to accomplish this over the years. It is one of our foremost goals and we believe it is one of the most important things that HIVE needs to expand over the coming decade. 

INLEO's HAT is now fully integrated with the Maya Protocol.

We are about to announce major partnerships with ChainFlip and the Thorchain Ecosystem. These partnerships will bring our Hive Aggregation technology to both of those DEXes as well and allow you to swap with anything listed on ChainFlip/Thorchain and HIVE/HBD/Hive L2 assets.

## One-Click Hive Swaps With Hive Aggregation Technology V2 (HAT V2)

We released HAT V1 several months back with the goal of bringing cross-chain swaps to Hive. We achieved that goal and saw some mild volume. We identified some core issues:
1. It was too hard to use
2. If a swap took too long, it would fail
3. Arbitrum Gas was required to use our technology (since we aggregate through Arbitrum to get HIVE funds <> Maya Protocol for DEX Swaps)

We've solved all 3 of these issues and more with HAT V2. Now, One-Click Hive <> Any Crypto is now possible.

## How to Do Fully Decentralized, One-Click Hive Swaps

So you want to do one-click HIVE/HBD and Hive L2 asset swaps to/from any L1 crypto? This guide will quickly show you how to do it. 

### **Step 1). Sign in to LeoDex Using Keystore**

We recommend Keystore for the easiest and most secure swap experience on LeoDex. 

Click "Connect Wallet" at the top right of the page on https://leodex.io. 

Then, select the "Keystore" option in the middle.

Don't forget to also check the "HIVE" Network logo on the middle-right of the pop-up window. This will prompt you to write your Hive username. 

Once you've written your Hive Username, you can click "Connect with Keystore". 

This will log you in with Keystore + Hive Keychain simultaneously (Keystore for your external crypto wallets and Hive Keychain for your Hive wallet). 

### **Step 2). Choose your Swap!**

Honestly, logging in was the hardest part of the whole process. Now comes the easy part. Choose which assets you want to swap.

Click on the input selector and choose which asset you want to swap out. In this case, I chose USDC (Arbitrum).

Then click the output asset selector and choose your chosen output crypto. In this case, I chose HIVE.

I then enter "10" in the input box to indicate that I am swapping 10 USDC for HIVE.

### Step 3). Verify Your Details and Click "Swap Tokens"

You can see here I set 10 USDC as my input and 19.74 HIVE populated as my output.

HIVE is currently trading for $0.506. After fees, I am expecting to get ~19.74 HIVE (at the current price, this = $9.996). 

The potential fees can fluctuate as LeoDex has built-in arbitrage. Sometimes the arbitrage is accretive and sometimes it is not. What this means is that **sometimes LeoDex will actually give you a profitable HIVE swap** (or sometimes an unprofitable one). No need to worry, this is all calculated on the frontend so you know what you are expecting to get. It all happens automagically on the backend after you click swap. 

### Step 4). Swap!

A final confirmation window will display to show you what you should expect to receive. Click Confirm Swap and let the Aggregation begin!

Once you confirm, the swap will be in progress for a few minutes. The duration of an aggregated swap can vary depending on several factors (which chains you've selected, current block activity on those chains, etc.).

**Please keep this screen open until it changes to the next screen. It usually takes less than 120 seconds.**

Once you reach the next screen, you can safely close LeoDex (or leave it open if you wish to track the progress). The next screen shows you the real-time progression of the aggregated swap as it moves from (in this case) Arbitrum USDC to HIVE on Hive.

After confirming, you don't need to do anything. All of these screens and steps will happen automatically.

After just 3 minutes, you can see my swap is nearly complete. The final step is getting the native HIVE into my account!

All in, it took about 4 minutes to fully complete my swap from USDC (Arbitrum) to HIVE on the Hive blockchain.

## Fees

If the trade is under $150, a small fee is collected by our Arbitrum LEO account for aggregating the swap. 100% of this fee revenue is perma-pooled on the LEO:CACAO and LEO:SWAP.HIVE pools to create permanent liquidity (more liquidity = more efficient pricing on future swaps for all users).

If the trade is over $150, then that same small fee is collected and does the same thing however there is an additional fee earned by LeoDex on the Maya Protocol. Maya Protocol pays us an "Affiliate Fee" on swaps over $150. That fee is paid to us in the form of CACAO (Maya's token). 100% of those earnings also buy LEO and perma-pool them in LEO:CACAO and LEO:SWAP.HIVE to create permanent liquidity.

You can track the state of Permanent Liquidity on both Maya and Hive Engine.

## Our Goal

HIVE typically does anywhere from $70M to $100M in monthly trading volume (during a normal trading month). This doesn't count any HBD trading volume since the majority of HBD trades are on the internal Hive marketplace.

Our goal is to capture >10% of all HIVE monthly trading volume through LeoDex by the end of 2025. 

The reason why this is so important to us and the entire Hive ecosystem is that it reduces the Hive blockchain's reliance on Centralized Exchanges. We've brought HIVE to the world of cross-chain, L1, decentralized trading.
