Mate, I loved this post - probably because you are incensed and passionate enough to respond to that inane, shallow opinion so intelligently. And yes, it must trigger you as a Dad too, given how you know how easily that could be taken away if you die.

Agreed. No one wants to look deep and no one seems to have the ability to interrogate, investigate, criticise - they'd rather just share and spout bullshit without thinking it through.

Of COURSE it'd be easier to neuter paedophiles or take obese children away or whatever extreme solution people have to poor parenting or just poor human behaviour, but how about we work a bit harder to fix the issues and problems behind this instead of encourage shallow, unhelpful, kneejerk responses in a world that has had enough of those?
