It’s good to have those fun experiences not too far from the house, even if it was a little lame. We’ve done a few of those things with the little man and he enjoys it well enough and is appreciative of being brought somewhere. I think some of the only times he’s been bored is when we went to an amusement park and there were lots of roller coaster rides. His favorite? A toy excavator! Lol  Not gonna lie I was on there tearing shit up for a good 30 minutes myself lol. The local things are always my favorite, because it doesn’t take a lot to get there and if it’s lame or not as cool, it was only a 5-10 minute drive (nothing is a walk where we are sadly) and hurts a lot less. We’ve done something where we drove 90+ minutes and it was horrible lol but that’s what we do as parents, try to give the kids as much enjoyment as we can! Bacon and eggs is an epic first meal to cook on that shit man, love it!

I have always wanted one of those excavators!! :D With some of these things there ends up being too much expectation and like you say, the longer the drive, the more painful. Finland is okay for this, as expectations can always be held in check :D btw, did the backsplash in the kitchen make sense now that there is a better image?
