I like writing science fiction because it allows me to speculate. I had an idea and wasn't sure how to work it out. When I started, neither the human nor the android had a personality. These grew, as I wrote. I was careful though, to check out facts...parts of the brain, poison in potatoes, rare earth elements in AI.
