Hey, @ddrfr33k. Ah, someone who knows my pain! Actually, as you say, it wasn't that bad. Just me on the learning curve for the first time. :) We've been swapping out guns in my area—probably four in the last four months or so. They're all on the older Big Buck games. There's less than half a dozen of the HD versions in my area. Those cabinets are all out in front of the screen, and while I haven't really looked at it, seems like it might be easier to get into.

My cousin has a Call of the Wild cab, the last version to use a CRT. Keeping those tuned up is, well... That's an exercise in and if itself. But connecting the gun is super straight forward. His cab didn't have a gun to start with, so he ordered one and I hooked it up for him. At least things are easily identified on those old logic boards!
