I very recently had a conversation with my youngest about failing despite giving it your best XD He's trying to badge this year and asked what if he put in all this effort and did his best and wasn't good enough in the end? I said that sometimes life just happens like that and at least he can fail knowing that he gave it everything he had and that there was nothing he could have done better, and when it's something you really want it's always better that way than giving up partway and not bothering to try because it's "too hard" because that way invariably leads to regret and what-if XD

Steem is kind of just a cool thing to me.  I'd be pretty irritated if it crashed and burned especially if through stupidity/ignorance and mismanagement/"merging" with other things especially as it's been the longest surviving out of the crypto thingies I was playing around with and also all these cool people, but it's not the only thing I'm doing (because something about eggs and baskets).
