I think that the move away from the steem name should be a natural part of brand differentiation. Naming everything "Steem" shows who it was actually marketed for - internal users.

I believe otherwise, we do a lot of work Onboarding Off Steem including merchants and hotels. By having the name there just implies the chain we are using, but as a business and registered entity (Beachfront Crypto Ltd)— ReggaeSteem is just one of our ***Travel Rewards*** DApps and we can not tie ourselves down to a single chain. 

Another example is Steem Monsters >> Splinterlands

Yeah, I don't mean just mean you guys, for four years everything has been "Steem-something" etc. It connects to Steem when it doesn't necessarily have to for the business model. I believe that SMTs/layer2 will act much more independently once the community distributes through communities more.

Ahhhh, yeah Sooo true! Bet a lot of those names sounded perfect at first but the recent news changes that— sorta put things into perspective when the name ‘ReggaeTron’ started getting thrown around in our Discord 😅
