My dad had the same experience with his father. He was painting in secret and earning at 12 years of age painting movie signs. He studied to be a teacher which he was at the age of 16, but it was his artiatic skills that got him out of Malaysia and into Australia. But funnily, he loved being a teacher and did both until into his eighties.

Hive is a brilliant place to explore skills and can help them flourish, if given the time and attention. It is empowering.

When it came to work ethic and going without, my dad was a shining example. Lacked in other areas, but a good man all things considered. It is weird that it is over a year ago that he passed away.

Sorry for your loss.

I had a lot of differences with my dad. But with time, as I am maturing, I try to avoid his faults, and focus on his good qualities work ethics. No one is perfect. Neither he, nor I🙂
