Hello everyone, I hope you are doing great. This time I want to tell you about a really wild and unique story. I want to share my experiences and opinions about the book: The Queens of Sarmiento Park by Camila Sosa Villada. From the first page, a unique energy instantly caught me and plunged me headlong into this world of transvestites and sex workers who live on the fringes, right near Parque Sarmiento in Córdoba, Argentina. Camila Sosa Villada doesn't just write the book, she is part of the story! she uses her own experiences as a trans woman to put together a story that, even though it says it's fiction, feels very real. this book was a roller coaster of emotions, really, I went from astonishment to empathy, and even anger... I felt like I was spying on a world that normal literature always ignores... 

But all that emotional intensity is mixed with moments of lyrical beauty that blows your mind, the way Camila writes, poetic but at the same time raw, captures the harshness of these women's lives, painting a picture that is brutal but touches your soul. But what makes this book really special is how the story flows, Camila mixes magical realism with unfiltered descriptions of the daily struggle... one second you're floating in an almost dreamlike atmosphere, and the next, you're confronted head-on with the reality of discrimination, violence, and how harsh things are in prostitution... that combination keeps you hooked and shows you that beauty can appear where you least expect it. In addition, it includes Latin cultural references and religious symbolism, such as the Virgin of Guadalupe or the Three Wise Men, which greatly enrich the story and make it both close and profound.


>Hola a todos, espero que estén súper bien, en esta ocasión les quiero hablar de una historia realmente salvaje y única, les quiero compartir mis experiencias y opiniones del libro: Las Malas de Camila Sosa Villada. Desde la primera página, una energía única me atrapó al instante y me metió de cabeza en este mundo de travestis y trabajadoras sexuales que viven al margen, ahí cerquita del Parque Sarmiento en Córdoba, Argentina.. Camila Sosa Villada no solo escribe el libro, ¡ella es parte de la historia! usa sus propias vivencias como mujer trans para armar un relato que, aunque diga que es ficción, se siente muy real.. este libro fue una montaña rusa de emociones, de verdad, pasé del asombro a la empatía, y hasta la rabia.. sentí que estaba espiando un mundo que la literatura normal siempre ignora..<br>
Pero toda esa intensidad emocional se mezcla con momentos de una belleza lírica que te vuela la cabeza, la forma en que escribe Camila, poética pero a la vez cruda, capta la dureza de la vida de estas mujeres, pintando un cuadro que es brutal pero que te llega al alma.. Pero lo que hace a este libro realmente especial es cómo fluye la historia, Camila te mezcla realismo mágico con descripciones sin filtro de la lucha diaria.. un segundo estás flotando en una atmósfera casi de sueño, y al siguiente, te chocas de frente la realidad de la discriminación, la violencia y las duras que son las cosas en la prostitución.. esa combinación te mantiene enganchadísimo y te muestra que la belleza puede aparecer donde menos te lo esperas. Además, mete referencias culturales latinas y simbolismo religioso, como la Virgen de Guadalupe o los Reyes Magos, que enriquecen un montón la historia y la hacen a la vez cercana y profunda.

The characters are the soul of this book, really! Each character in the Sarmiento Park group is so well done, so real!, that you feel like you know them very well. Aunt Encarna, in particular, left a mark on me a lot, she is not only the maternal figure, but also a symbol of strength, of love and of how you are cared for in the midst of such a harsh environment.. when she decides to adopt that child that was left behind... oh. That makes you think about identity, motherhood and what it really means to form a family, it is like the center of everything in the novel, where all the themes come together.. each chapter presents you with a different character, telling you where they come from, who they love, what happens to them... and so a puzzle of voices is put together that breaks your heart but at the same time captivates you. Now, although I loved the book, it's not perfect either. Jumping from character to character sometimes cuts the rhythm of the story a bit... there were times when I felt like I was being told too many lives at once and I couldn't get fully into each one. 

But still, that choppy style also reflects the messiness and complexity of these women's lives, so, in the end, it kind of gives the book its vibe... something that really struck me is how they touch on difficult subjects, without mincing words, discrimination, violence, prostitution, HIV, gender identity... They don't deal with them superficially, but rather they put them into the story with an honesty that disarms you. Reading this book surprised me, it made me angry, it made me indignant... and that's good! These are emotions that make you think about all the prejudices and exclusion that trans and transvestite people suffer... it's a book that shakes you up, that forces you to question how you see the world and to rethink your ideas about gender and family.

>Los personajes.. son el alma de este libro, de pana! Cada personaje del grupo del Parque Sarmiento está tan bien hecho, ¡tan real!, que sientes que los conoces mucho.. la tía Encarna, en especial, me marcó un montón, no es solo la figura maternal, sino como un símbolo de fuerza, de amor y de cómo te cuidan en medio de ese ambiente tan duro.. cuando decide adoptar a ese niño que dejaron tirado... ay. Eso te pone a pensar en la identidad, en la maternidad y en lo que significa realmente formar una familia, es como el centro de todo en la novela, donde se juntan todos los temas.. cada capítulo te presenta un personaje diferente, contándote de dónde vienen, a quién aman, qué les pasa... y así se va armando un rompecabezas de voces que te parte el alma pero que a la vez te atrapa. Ahora, aunque me encantó el libro, tampoco es perfecto, estar saltando de personaje en personaje a veces como que corta un poco el ritmo de la historia.. hubo momentos en que sentí que me estaban contando demasiadas vidas a la vez y no alcanzaba a meterme de lleno en cada una.<br>
Pero igual, ese estilo como cortado también refleja el desorden y lo complicado que es la vida de estas mujeres, así que, al final, como que le da su onda al libro.. algo que me impactó mucho es cómo tocan temas difíciles, sin pelos en la lengua, la discriminación, la violencia, la prostitución, el VIH, la identidad de género...  No los tratan así por encimita, sino que los meten en la historia con una honestidad que te desarma, leer este libro me sorprendió, me dio rabia, me indignó... ¡y eso está bien! Son emociones que te hacen pensar en todos los prejuicios y la exclusión que sufren las personas trans y travestis.. es un libro que te mueve el piso, que te obliga a cuestionarte cómo ves el mundo y a repensar tus ideas sobre el género y la familia.

thing you think you know about love, family, the strength to keep going... It invites you to find beauty even in the midst of pain, do you understand me? If you're one of those who like books that don't beat around the bush, that show you reality as it is, raw and hard, but at the same time with a beautiful, poetic way of writing, this is definitely for you. In the end, even though it has a few things, it left me thinking. Camila Sosa Villada does something incredible: she mixes her own life with fiction in a way that not only tells you a story, but shakes you up inside and changes your perspective! 

My final verdict, I give it a **4.7/5**, the way she writes, so poetic, how real everything is and the strong themes she touches on, make it a book that moves you and opens your eyes at the same time.. so you know, if you are looking for a book that challenges you, that makes you feel things and think, but if it’s not your type of book, just ignore it, it is dedicated to really open-minded people, not anyone could see its value, and surely many would only say stupid things and that would only make the whole story worse. Anyway, if you think you miss seeing value in this story, do not hesitate to give it a chance! That would be all for today, we will see you in the next reviews, take care of yourselves! Byebye!

>Es una experiencia que te llega al corazón, que te marca, que te deja pensando.. te pone a pensar en todo lo que crees saber sobre el amor, la familia, la fuerza para seguir adelante... Te invita a encontrar lo bonito incluso en medio del dolor, ¿me entiendes? Si eres de los que les gustan los libros que no se andan con rodeos, que te muestran la realidad tal cual es, cruda y dura, pero a la vez con una forma de escribir hermosa, poética, sin duda es para ti. Al final, a pesar de que tiene un par de cositas, me dejó la cabeza reflexionando. Camila Sosa Villada hace algo increíble: mezcla su propia vida con la ficción de una manera que no solo te cuenta una historia, sino que te sacude por dentro y te cambia la perspectiva!<br>
Mi veredicto final, le doy un **4.7/5**, la forma en que escribe, tan poética, lo real que es todo y los temas tan fuertes que toca, hacen que sea un libro que te conmueve y te abre los ojos al mismo tiempo.. así que ya sabes, si buscas un libro que te rete, que te haga sentir cosas y pensar, pero si no es tu tipo de libro, solo ignoralo, esta dedicado a personas realmente abiertas de mente, no cualquier persona podría ver su valor, y seguramente muchos solo dirían estupideces y eso solo dejaría peor a toda la historia. En fin, si crees que pierdas ver valor en esta historia, no dudes en darle una oportunidad! Esto sería todo por hoy, nos veremos en las próximas reseñas, cuídense mucho! Byebye!
