I've recently been considering whether to buy a wristwatch again. If I do, it'll probably be a cheap Casio. I don't want a lot of functions. No alarms. No calendar. Just tell me what time it is. I'd like to see a self-charging option, but really, batteries are cheap. Suunto also makes a compass worn like a wristwatch. Tempting. But while it tells North, it doesn't tell time.

Casio are great watches, I have two, a Rangemaster and the Mudmaster pictured, both are excellent watches. My partner has a G-shock also, a *Baby-G* and she loves it despite having a more expensive watch. We're a Casio G-shock family. > I'd like to see a self-charging option Both of my G-shocks are solar with a six month run-time without sunlight. Look at their range, you'll find what you want. I like those Suunto watches, the Garmin ones too, but I can't justify one considering I have a handheld Garmin Satnav. Maybe one day when my Satnav dies.

Well, I'd go for the Casio were it me, but you probably figured I'd say that. That first one resembles a *Swatch*, remember them? That *Core Alpha Stealth* (Suunto) is a nice looking thing. $399 AUD here I see.
