Your advantage is that you can enter garbage, and they have to assume it's correct! That really lets you screw around with their database, and they have to help. 

The free VPN with proton mail is helpful too...you can go anywhere in the World, with a single click! The 64 but encryption will make the alphabet soup bureaucracy Work for any data they want. I'm Sure they Hate it, which makes me smile!

I wear a belt holster for my phone, so the camera is blocked most of the time. I use Bluetooth, so the mic is bypassed too,

The Unix phone has switches on camera, mic, and location; that interrupts power to that subsystem. IT still needs work, but it's getting better!

I like the idea of the free VPN with the mail, these days I think so many of these apps can not only get your location, they can get your IP address and they can probably even get your computer's MAC address - if they get that then they can actually hook straight up to your network card and establish a direct link. The more of these you can protect, the better. 

That Unix phone sounds excellent if you have the choice to switch the power to that part off.

The VPN allows you to sign in from anywhere in the globe. They will still have your IMEI number, but it will show up all over the World...not something they can sell!

I run Linux on my computer (Ubuntu) and it sits behind a modem and a router. I've run it for decades, and they've never penetrated my system!

The Unix phone actually cuts power with a mechanical switch, they can't bypass that with software! So far, it is a very good PC, but a poor phone. Until it makes good phone calls, it's not a phone; so I wait for their software upgrade!
