Blog post intro!

<p>My name is Jess and I love life.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>If you have had a long conversation with me you probably know that I am passionate about the Arts (theatre, music, dance, photography, drawing etc.), politics, world issues, development, children, the environment, travel, adventure, nature, as well as being active and healthy (oh and Disney).</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Over the last 27+ years I have had my share of extreme highs and lows, but have been fortunate enough to have so many amazing people and experiences to keep me going forward.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>On October 10th I married my best friend, after almost seven years together. We had a perfect enchanted forest wedding, surrounded by so many of the people that mean the world to us (and documented by the astonishingly talented Two Mann Studios) . We then set off for a two week adventure driving up the Pacific Coast Highway (HWY 1) in California in our own Hippie Escape Camper Van. That had to have been one of the greatest trips of my life. We hiked, swam, slept by the ocean, explored random little towns, met up with friends (plus two mandatory days at DisneyLand) and just allowed ourselves to just be lost and free for the entire trip. Aaron and I had been on many drives together in our relationship, but that was one I wasn’t sure how it would go. We were eating, sleeping, and travelling in one little van. Thankfully, we both have the same style and sense of adventure (and when we don’t he lovingly obliges to my random whims).</p>

<p>So, when we arrived back in Ottawa to our normal life (Aaron is a carpenter and I am a… well a lot of things – but substitute teacher by trade) we were craving more adventure, yet also ready for some stability.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Interestingly enough, a job opportunity opened up to me – across Canada. This would be a huge move for us both, but a super exciting adventure. What else could be more fun then trying out living in a small town, in the middle of the Rocky Mountains for a while. This gives a chance to be adventurous, active, creative, travel … well basically check off a lot of my boxes. &nbsp;Aaron and I discussed it (at length) and decided it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Well, here starts this blog. My friends and family wanted to stay up to date on our adventures, our drive across the country, our experiences in Alberta and beyond. So, this blog is dedicated to the small moments. It will of course mention big events, and exciting adventures, but also all the little microscopic moments that make my life (our life) so wonderful!</p>

Welcome to the fold Jess.  The forest wedding looks very magical - there are good spirits in the forest, I usually find. 

Some other people might mention it first - but just so we know it's really you could you upload a picture of yourself with some paper that says Steemit and the date. I know it sounds silly - but it just helps rule out fake accounts and will also help you verify your account if it's ever hacked (which is unlikely, but may happen).

Anyway I look forward to seeing what you bring here and I think your enthusiasm will do well.
