It was at least 2 days, but in some ways it never did. A girl ran a red light and basically hit me head on as I was making a left turn. That was another bad one. I remember staring at my windshield, inches away from my face, as my seatbelt held me fixed in suspended animation. It does cause a kind of permanent PTS. If I drive through an intersection without looking, I get the feeling something is wrong.

I can see how certain things will never be the same. Tonight or tomorrow I am writing about how I was (almost not) able to drive through the tunnel the day following the accident. It brings a panic now just thinking about it. It was terrifying and I don't think I'll ever approach a tunnel without severe anxiety for a while...

I remember this old song playing immediately after the crash with the girl. I want to say it is by Jane's Addiction, but not sure on that. "She's Asleep At The Wheel". No joke. I wanna read the gun shy post and I don't blame you after that experience. Tunnels are horrible enough to begin with.
