I remember something like Win10 being in news for being able to run bash last time I worked with Windows, so I guess they also are trying to bridge that gap for devs, but yea, I dont wanna speak out of my ass, for work machine I'd personally never pick a Win, rather an OSX or Ubuntu (just as an example, plenty of good distros). I don't hate it with passion, but I also wouldn't pick it.

I have a passionate hatred toward micro$haft and windblows! You couldn't pay me to use it I would pull my hair out and smash the machine before I got the job done! <3 Ubuntu personally use xubuntu for desktops and debian for servers since there is no gui interface and debian <3 <3 <3

It sounds like you know what you're doing, Windows exists and will continue to due to being pre-installed and partnerships with hardware, not because it is in any way better UI and UX. But hey, if you can convert some folks onto better systems with your accessible and clear content, consider yourself a sharer of good will :)

Hit the nail on the head! But watch how many people after 4 hours of waiting for updates put the computer back in the box, drive back to best buy (or other store) and come back with a mac, take it out and it just works in 5 minutes or less and never look back! Wonder why AAPL is doing SOOO well and is a "FANG Stock"? I don't like apple only because at that point use linux, but I would advocate using apple any day over a windows machine, it will work when you need it to and is far more secure all things equal than any windows machine!
