I always wanted a bootable thumb drive with a proper install of linux mint, so I could save my settings for after reboot, but I didn't have the skill to pull it off and I tried quite a few times over the years.

Hi @gonzo - I haven't had as much luck with making a USB that will save changes at reboot, but I know it can be done. If I manage to pull it off I'll share another tutorial!
