# Good morning Steemizens! 

### I'm here this morning to bring you an update about the #MinnowsUnite project.

As you may know, yesterday was our [Official Release](https://steemit.com/minnowsunite/@alchemage/introducing-the-official-release-of-the-minnowsunite-project-check-details-inside-to-register) date. We have seen a lot of incoming traffic in our [Discord Server](https://discord.gg/PdWxgus) and a lot of users have registered since our release was posted. 

## We would like to begin by thanking each and every one of you for helping to support this project. 

As we grow in numbers so too do we grow individually; that is the way of Steemit!

# Being in the early phases of our project, we have found a few minor bugs that have needed addressing, as well as some new updates.

<b>With the amount of users commenting, the voting power of @minnowpond was dropped down to nearly 0.</b>
A lot of people were commenting on posts, that is awesome for our community! However, it is not so awesome for our bot's voting power. Some registered members may have noticed that they did not receive an upvote during the time while the voting power was out, and for this we apologize and have done what we can to quickly implement changes to correct the situation. 

### In order to fix this issue, we have made a couple of changes to our system.
<b>* We set up a secondary account, @minnowpond1, which @minnowpond will rotate it's probability checks with in order to preserve both of their voting power.</b>
<b>* We changed the rate at which comments will be voted on from 50% to 15%.</b>

# There have been problems with the registration command, so we would like to take this time to clarify.
___

When you are registering for this service, head to the <b>minnowsregister</b> channel and type the following command:

    !addminnow username
<b>*MAKE SURE THAT YOU TYPE YOUR USERNAME EXACTLY AS IT IS DISPLAYED ON STEEMIT WITHOUT THE @*</b>

A message will be delivered which reminds you to send 1 SBD to @minnowpond (*this has not changed*) to ensure membership.

Once you registered in the [Discord Server](https://discord.gg/PdWxgus) and you have sent the 1 SBD, you are finished. Our bot waits one hour before checking to see if the 1 SBD is sent, so expect any upvotes to come automatically on any post authored an hour after you have registered in the [Discord Server](https://discord.gg/PdWxgus)

## While chatting with @r0nd0n of the #MinnowSupport project, it was asked of us if one could add a friend as a member and pay the registration fee for them.

*While at first our bot checked the literal name and ignored the memo being sent in the transfer, we have updated its capability!*

Now when you wish to register a friend on their behalf, you should complete the following command in the <b>minnowsregister</b> channel:

    !addminnow friendusername

<b>*MAKE SURE THAT YOU TYPE THE USERNAME EXACTLY AS IT IS DISPLAYED ON STEEMIT WITHOUT THE @*</b>

A message will be delivered which reminds you to send 1 SBD to @minnowpond to ensure membership.

When sending then 1 SBD to @minnowpond, be sure to put your friend's username in the memo exactly as it appears on Steemit, without the "@" symbol. Like so:

Once you have registered your friend in the [Discord Server](https://discord.gg/PdWxgus) and you have sent the 1 SBD with your friend's username in the memo, you are finished.
