Well my Indian built Hyundai did 115k miles with nothing serious going wrong until just now. The Germans must be worried. The viability does depend on where you are. If you like in a city and can charge on your drive then it is probably best to go electric, especially as you may avoid road charges as in London. I know you do some long trips. Even visiting our daughter at university 80 miles away may be viable if we can do a rapid charge there to top up. Getting to my sister in Scotland would be trickier, but after a couple of hours of driving I need a rest anyway.
