Do you have any examples to illustrate your answers?","appBody":"
Thank you for asking this question as sometimes it is really confusing for many people to point out the difference.

Been assisted is different from been helped in the sense that been asisted involve both the benefactor and the benefiter of the person you are really trying to render some hand of kindness. For example, a boy is looking for 1000$ for his school fees and the boy already have 600$ which he was able to gather by himself, you can say I am going to assist in your school fees by adding 400$ to the 600$ the boy was able to get, by this you have assisted the boy by completing the money with 400$. With this, it has involved both the benefactor and the boy.

Been helped is also different from been assisted as it only involves the benefactor and not the other party I.e not the person the kindness is been rendered to. For example also. A boy is looking for 1000$ for his school fees and is still unable to get any funds out of the 1000$ he is looking for. You can helped him by giving him all the 1000$ he is looking for. In this situation, you provided him with all the school fees and he needs not to add money with it.

So there is a clear difference between been assisted and been helped. Been assisted involve two party's which are both the benefactor and the person in which the kindness is been rendered to while been helped involve only one party which is the benefactor only.

#onelove
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkgmycwaq","appParentAuthor":"abidafridi","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

When a person is assisted, the person assisting joints the person being assisted to carry out a given activity or function, but the person being assisted does the bulk of the work. But when a person is being helped, the helper does the bulk of the work while the person being helped does very little or nothing.
\n
Example of being assisted is assisting someone to lift a heavy load on his/her head. The person you're assisting also takes part in the action and contributes equal or more energy than the person assisting in carrying out the function.
\n
An example of someone being helped is seeing a young child struggling to carry a heavy load from point A to point B and you took the load from the child and helped him/her to carry the load to point B.
\n
We can simply say that being helped is the opposite or reverse of being assisted.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkgmycwaq","appParentAuthor":"abidafridi","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
