How can someone identify business opportunity?
don’t know that there is ONE specific route to find the best opportunities. Because some people live in rural parts of the country, and don’t have access to certain things or people. The list goes on, of what could be the cause for this way to not work or a number of ways.

Networking.

It’s probably the best in my opinion. If you know small business owners or owners in general, they need help with something. In my case I am good with computers, networks, software applications, hardware installation, etc.. My friends know this, and my friends have their own interest and talents. One of my friends works as Pest Control Associate. He visits nearly 30 houses a day where we live, and it’s a different 30 people everyday. He may go to a house or a business and see someone struggling with a computer problem, and sometimes someone might even bring the problem to him hoping he can be friendly and do something that he doesn’t have to. Anyways, with that he tells them that he knows a guy(me) that can fix this for a good price. They call me and now I just made a few bucks and I usually give him something similar to a “Finders Fee”.

Usually when I do business I always do a little extra to make the client happy, sometimes I’ll give them a price that I will intentionally cut down to make them feel like I’m cutting them a real deal, and just tell them to tell their friends to call me should they ever have problems. That works more often than not and it just does a trickle down effect. Now I have a small client group where they will call occasionally and I’ll go make a quick $50–100 dollars. I’ve just recently been called to help a towing company repair and install all their electronic equipment. I am sure to get a pretty penny from that.

Social Media.

I mean I don’t think I need to explain this. If you get on Facebook and I am sure 80% of people reading this do. You will most certainly see a AD at some point. Seriously those things work! At least on me (shameless). Offer your services in your local area and FB will tell you how many people you could reach at your budget price, and just try it. The worse that can happen is you spend $15 dollars and don’t get anything. Price of a night at the movies(barely). OR you get a a call or two and end up making your money back plus some.

This would work tremendously if you do IT related stuff and know of Remote software to connect to clients not in your area. I can suggest some should you want to know!
