Even in countries were mining is a major revenue generator for the government, the government concentrate on some mining areas or commodities and ignore the others that they think are not in high demand </p><p>One of the ways illegal mining can be curbed is for government to give the mining industry serious attention and set up functioning bodies to over sea activities in the industry. Government can also place stiff punishment on illegal miners.
