His drunk and unhinged lifestyle coupled with the fact that he's such a terrible parent make him such a funny character to watch.</p><p>I always look forward to the Simpsons Halloween special every year because I get to see Homer at his best and by his best, I get to see him at his dumbest!! He's so fat that it's ridiculous, I remember a particular episode where he had a girl massage his back and she started sinking into his back then all he could say was \"Don't struggle, you'll only sink faster\" To me that was priceless and beyond funny.</p><p>I would have chosen Bart, but he just doesn't make me laugh as much as Homer does, although some of Homer's funniest moments are when Bart pisses him off. The both of them make a great team in terms of humour though. I doubt the show would be as funny as it is without them.</p><p>Homer stands out for me because he's has funny interactions with just about every character on the show, ranging from Flanders to his kids to his boss, he's done something with each of them that's made me laugh so hard that I just might have peed on myself in the process.</p><p>There's absolutely nothing wrong with the other characters, but they just don't have the spark that makes me laugh no matter what they do. I could literally laugh just by looking at Homer when he says his trade mark slogan \"Dooh!!!!\".
