If you drilled a hole through the entire Earth from one pole to another would you not risk letting all the air out?

We'd go hurtling through space like an untied balloon

Thanks @ancientknowled3 for attempting a response. But could you make your explanation more explicit??

A very stupid question. I can't see it happening either so no time frames.

It may be without your timeframe. But does that make it stupid?? I doubt it!!

Notwithstanding, thank you for the effort @cryptoandcofee

Will Continuous drilling through the Earth Crust from one pole of the Earth ends upat the Opposite Pole: How long would such drilling take?

Your question has two answers - A theoretical answer and a practical answer.

Theoretical answer:

Yes, a hole can be drilled to any object, even if it's a planet. Secondly, if we assume that we have a machine that can dig through earth without ever stopping and at a constant speed of 50 feet per day (an average for a tunneling machine), then it would take a 836089 days or around 2300 years.

Practical answer:

No, you cannot dig a hole through earth. Here are the simplest of reasons:

1. The temperature at the center of Earth exceed 5000 degrees. We simply do not have the machinery that can operate at that temperature.

2. Even if we are able, than we face the issue of extreme pressure at great depths(hundreds of millions of time the normal atmospheric pressure) . We do not yet have a building material that can actually support a tunnel skeleton at that pressure. Even if we have it, then it would melt at that temperature.

NOTE: That the deepest man made hole on Earth is Kola superdeep borehole in Russia and its around 12.2 kilometers deep. They had to shut down after that.
