If people are born evil and evil is more prevalent now, does that mean more evil people are being born, and if so why?

I don't believe people are born evil. How can an innocent child so pure in heart be called evil. People chose the path they want to follow in life. We have two options in life; the power to chose from right or wrong. You can decide which path you wanna go in life..evil or good, but no child comes into this world with evil.
