If you believe that there's no God, what proof do you have to show to support your belief?

Other than my faith? See how that plays on both sides?

I'll go with the state of the world

Depending on which religion you support that will determine which "god" you believe in and therefore what beliefs you hold about the existence of "god"

There are many belief systems today that still believe/worship a pantheon of gods. In Hinduism for example there are 33 MILLION gods or deities so why does this question seem to center on the Abrahamic belief of a single god and proof of that?

If there truly is a single god and that being is supposedly benevolent then why is the world in the state it is in?

Free will? That's the usual answer given in that kind of scenario and holds the same validity as answering Faith to why you believe in a "god" when no evidence exists to support that position either

Let's look at things briefly to establish some parameters.

It is generally considered that God is omnipotent, all knowing, sees and knows everything.

God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end of all that was, is and will be.

God has a plan for each of us

Now given those above statements it should be abundantly clear that there can be no free will.

Why?

Because if God has a plan for all of us and he is all knowing, how can we as humans do anything other than what He has already ordained for us? After all he knows what is in our hearts, knows what we will do at every turn (he is omnipotent after all) and thus the world is proceeding according to plan. We are merely puppets playing our pre-destined roles in this scenario.

In order to have free will God cannot be all knowing, all seeing, omnipotent. However this defies by definition the concept of God himself.

However, there does seem to be evidence of this.

God created Adam from the dust and earth and then breathed life into him, thus giving all mankind the divine spark. However the according to the Babylonian Talmud Eve was NOT the first woman created. That honour goes to Lilith, who was also fashioned in the same manner as Adam and was his equal.

However Lilith was wilful and refused to submit to Adam's authority. God sent 3 angels to convince Lilith of the error of her ways but after the third visitation she still refused and so God cast her out, turning her into the first demon doomed to walk the Earth forever, always seeking to seduce and corrupt man. She became the first of creatures known as Succubi.

God then created Eve from Adam's rib so that she would always be from him and of him and therefore submit to him.

Given that story from the Talmud which predates the Abrahamic version of creation, it would appear that God is not infallible as he otherwise would not have made the mistake of creating Lillith as such a wilful woman, believing that she would change her mind on one of the 3 visits from his angels and such.

There also seems to be a definite lack of foreknowledge as to the betrayal of Lucifer, the failing of Eve to abide by the one rule of not eating from the Tree of Knowledge (although it was permissible to eat from the Tree of Life, why was that?) and so on and so forth throughout the entireity of history.

The great flood occurred because God was so disgusted by the sinful nature and actions of his creations that he decided the only way to save mankind was to destroy and start over. How was this not foreseen in advance, again assuming God is all-knowing he must have known how his experiment would turn out.

While the existence of God itself might be debatable his presence around us at this time should not be.

In the Book of Revelations it is stated to John that the Lord will RETURN. This of course is referring to the Rapture. However, in order to return one must leave. So even in the Abrahamic texts it has been made clear that God is no longer among us, but will return at some points (once the seven signs have been fulfilled).

I cited the state of the world as my proof that God does not exist or at least is no longer among us. War, corruption, destruction, death, violence, etc. It is plain to see that either God does not exist, is not around or simply does not care anymore about his creation. After all how many chances should we be given to get our acts straight? The flood, Christ dying for our sins, this makes our current iteration our 3rd chance at least. 3 Strikes and we are out perhaps? God might be a fan of baseball and perhaps has simply given us our 3rd strike and walked away

Let's take a more drastic polarized example

Going back to God has a plan for all of us.

Why are there such atrocities in the world such as school shootings? If God really does have a plan for us all then it was pre-destined for those children to be called to Him at such a young age. Why lament however? After all they fulfilled God's plan, that should be a time of rejoincing.

And in addition, the ones who commit such atrocities. Why are they vilified and demonized by us so much? Again, they are simply fulfilling their role in the great plan. They have done as God wanted them to do and yet we as humans feel that we are worthy to pass judgement over them when God himself decreed their actions were according to His plan?

Should they not be raised up and heralded as God's right hand for doing such distasteful work and sparing the rest of us from having to do that? Then they are sacrificed and punished by the laws of Man which would appear to be in direct opposition to God's plans for them.

In order to believe in God I would have to believe in everything I just wrote and I'm sorry, I just cannot do that. No God that I can believe exists would ever be cruel as to inflict that much pain either out of pre designed machinations or even ignorance. on the victims, their families, friends etc. There must be a better way to achieve a grand design (if one exists) than this by an all-knowing, caring being.

Is any of this proof? Of course not, but it is MY faith that any God would be benevolent and not harmful that makes me believe that God as he is depicted in Abrahamic and most other traditions does not exist.
