If you count all the gods at least one person believes in, there must be thousands of gods. Then there are the forgotten gods. Yet larger a group are the gods that nobody has so far believed in, yet.</p>\n<p>The typical theist (= a person who believes in God) believes in one God. That's because the greatest theist religions in existence today are the two great monotheisms, Christianity and Islam. </p>\n<p>That makes everyone an atheist - the only difference between the typical theist and an \"atheist\" being that the latter believes in one god less than the former. </p>\n<p>You think this is just being snotty? </p>\n<p>Think again. There is a multitude of religions in the word. Each has its own set of beliefs that aren't provable by any objective standard. You can either tolerate each other or fight to the death. The choice is yours.
