<p>Steem has stake-based voting. Steem needs people to invest fiat money in it to be worth anything. Why would you expect anyone spend money to buy Steem Power if they weren't allowed to self-upvote at all? </p>

Yeah I heard this argument and it is a good point . But is it sustainable in the long term? If you have a large network on Steemit do you really need to upvote yourself say if you have 2000 steem or less. We are talking penny’s. And if you are Upvoting yourself let the curation take it’s cut first. Upvote it after a day or two I started back a trail recently and some of my posts are on the trail . Therefore I am upvoting myself indirectly . Its a right pain in the arse.
