| json_metadata | "{"app":"Musing","appTags":["Christmas"],"appCategory":"Christmas","appTitle":"How do you love to spend christmas?","appBody":"<p>I love this question and I had to answer it before going to bed.</p>\n<p>It all starts at the end of november when we go and buy our tree. :D Since I can remember our Christmases have always been spent around our family, we would spend christmas eve at home and we would have a party and invite friends, on christmas day we would go to my mums and on boxing day we would go to my wife's mums and spend boxing day there.</p>\n<p>Christmas for me is a special time, a magical time, it has to do with little things, it isn't about opening the presents for me any more even though they are nice to have, it is more to see the looks on our kids faces when they open a present that they didn't know they were going to get.</p>\n<p>On Christmas eve we invite our friends over and sometimes my mum and dad come across too, we put out food for everyone and we sing songs drink a little wine and be happy, it is a great tradition for us, then about 9ock we look out into the sky in the hope for a shooting star to go over head so we can tell the kids that it was santa on his way around the world.</p>\n<p>We then get them in bed and read them a christmas story as everyone goes home, it is nice to be around people.</p>\n<p>On christmas day I can tell you we normally get up at 5 am to the kids running down stairs to see if santa has been, I have been known to dress in a santas costume and have pictures taken putting their presents under the tree.</p>\n<p>We then get ready and travel across to my mums give hugs and let the kids go crazy with more presents.</p>\n<p>at this point I normally cook the christmas dinner, it is something I have done for my mum for the past 15 years and every year they say it is better than the last, I made bread sauce last year and the family went nuts over it.</p>\n<p>Then as we sit to eat we all pull crackers say a little prayer for the ones that can not be with us and tuck into our food. we then spend the rest of the day playing games building toys that have to be made from a box and having fun with the kids.</p>\n<p>it is such a magical time, i am so looking forward to getting our tree up for xmas.</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk8va98dx","appParentAuthor":"otalenu","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
